Among the types of facades and roofs most often built, this architectural solution is perfect for large buildings that develop in height. It is also called curtain walling because of its characteristic cladding of steel, aluminium or other lightweight materials instead of classic concrete. The uprights (vertical profiles) of the structure must also be designed with care as they are the focal point and the element that has to bear most of the weight.

The transoms and uprights provide thermal and acoustic insulation, resistance to atmospheric agents, humidity and impact.

Structural curtain walls are made of glass and metal, however the structure is hidden, leaving space only for the transparency of the glass, given the absence of visible metal parts. The sheets are installed on 4 metal frames that allow for even weight distribution throughout the structure.

The glass is glued with silicone leaving a 20mm gap between each sheet.
